Perched high above the Danube Valley in Upper Austria, Clam Castle rises from the surrounding hills with a quiet, commanding presence. More than a monument, it remains a private family residence, continuously inhabited by the Counts of Clam since 1454. First recorded in 1149, the castle began as a fortified stronghold with imposing defensive structures — elements of which still define its character today. Over time, it evolved into a more refined residence, while preserving its original substance, scale, and atmosphere.

Each stay is privately arranged and configured individually, allowing guests to experience the castle as a lived environment rather than a staged destination. Designed for couples, families, or small private groups, the experience emphasizes space, atmosphere, and a direct connection to the historical setting.

As a lasting memento, each couple receives a signed heritage certificate from the castle family, marking their place within the ongoing story of the estate.

To secure a reservation, a 15% deposit is required following confirmation. Availability is intentionally limited in order to preserve the character of each stay.
